Thin patties pressed onto the griddle. Maximum crust.

The ball of beef is pressed flat on the griddle, so each patty is thin and the browned surface covers most of it. One patty is rarely enough, so these are usually stacked two or more — which makes patty count a meaningful axis. Because they are thin, doneness is generally not something you can specify.
